Repair or replace?
Most grills are worth fixing. Burners, igniters, heat plates and grates wear out long before a good stainless body does, and replacing them costs a fraction of a new grill. The time to think about replacement is when the firebox is rusted through, parts for your model are no longer made, or the repair would cost close to a new grill. We'll tell you which side of that line your grill is on. If it's time for a new one, see grill replacement.
Brands we repair
We repair built-in and freestanding grills from Lynx, AOG, Blaze, American Made Grills, DCS, Viking, Fire Magic, Alfresco, Twin Eagles, Napoleon, Weber and many more. See the full list on our brands page.
Clean first, then repair
A lot of "broken" grills are just dirty. Grease on an igniter tip or spider webs in a burner tube can stop a grill cold. When it makes sense, we pair a repair with a full cleaning so the new parts aren't sitting in old grease.
Repair questions
Why won't my grill igniter spark?
The most common causes are a dead battery, a cracked electrode, a loose wire or grease buildup on the igniter tip. We test each one and replace only what's failed.
Why is my grill flame low or uneven?
Usually clogged burner ports, spider webs in the venturi tubes, a regulator in bypass mode or a worn burner. A cleaning plus a burner check fixes most cases.
Is it worth repairing an older grill?
If the firebox and body are solid, replacing burners, igniters and grates usually costs far less than a new grill. If the firebox is rusted through, replacement often makes more sense.
